I am an experimental high energy physicist, a member of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. My main interests focus on QCD studies and searches for Beyond-Standard-Model physics.
Currently, I contribute to activities of the Forward and Small-x QCD (FSQ) group. I serve as a convener of the Diffractive and Exclusive Processes subgroup, where we study processes with large rapidity gaps in the final state, mediated by photons or objects carrying the quantum numbers of vacuum. I am also a convener of the CMS+TOTEM Combined Analysis group, which investigates diffractive interactions in a uniquely wide kinematic range, by combining information from the CMS and TOTEM experiments. Within the hadronic calorimeter (HCAL) Calibration Group, I coordinate the work of the Gains and RadDam team, which monitors gains stability and radiation damage of the hadron endcap (HE) and hadron forward (HF) calorimeters. I have also contributed to activities of the Supersymmetry Physics (SUSY) group by studying the QCD contribution to events with jets and missing transverse energy signature.
